NAIOP Summit Award winner for Public Development of the Year: The new 5,600 square foot BGCWN Teen Center Addition in Carson City features an urban boulevard “main street” complete with concrete bollards and an overhanging steel loft above. The project includes wooden bleachers overlooking the games area, an impromptu movie lounge, computer rooms, art rooms and a café with an adjacent courtyard. Tectonics collaborated with teen members of the design committee to create a den/garage atmosphere by exposing the new structural members as well as the existing concrete masonry walls.
