Tectonics Design Group is proud to announce the addition of Kara Van Valkenburg, SE, to our structural engineering team. Kara brings over 20 years of licensed structural engineering experience in the Northern NV area, adding valuable expertise and leadership to our growing firm.

Her impressive portfolio includes notable projects such as the UNR Seismic Lab, Mount Rose Water Treatment Plant, GSR Theatre Remodel, and the Reno Toyota Dealership. Kara’s deep knowledge of complex structural systems and local infrastructure enhances our capabilities across a wide range of project types.

Kara holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno, and is currently licensed as a Structural Engineer in both Nevada and California. Please join us in welcoming Kara to the Tectonics team!
